A Distance Learning MCSA Is Convenient

As an IT professional or aspiring IT professional you know how important certifications can be. MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) professionals typically earn more and are given more respect than computer techs without their certifications. One way to achieve your certification is through a distance learning MCSA class. A distance learning class is just another term for online training classes. These types of classes are ideal for the busy professional as they allow you to learn at your own pace and during hours that you find convenient.
Most distance learning courses in MCSA and MCSE are web-based and include all information you need to study and learn all aspects of Microsoft networking and operating systems. They will cover all the topics that you can expect to find on the Microsoft exams that you need to pass in order to earn your MCSA or MCSE certification. Because they are web-based, you can study at anytime or anywhere that you have internet access.
Distance learning courses on MCSA and MCSE will include the ability to bookmark your progress as you study so you can quickly and easily return to the exact spot that you left off. They may also have such advanced features such as pre-assessment testing which allows you to take an exam before you begin training so you know your exact strengths and weaknesses. Armed with this knowledge, you can concentrate on the topics you are weak in and spend less time on the topics that you are familiar with. For example, if you spend a lot of time managing DHCP or DNS servers, you may not need to spend as much time studying these topics and someone who has no knowledge of these topics.
Another nice feature of distance learning for your MCSA or MCSE is practice exams. Most distance learning companies offer these to help you pass the exams. Since the MCSA and MCSE exams are unique and difficult, the more practice exams that you take, the better prepared you will be to take the actual exam. The Microsoft exams are particularly challenging, but practice exams give you some of the exact questions you will find on the MCSA and MCSE exams. Also, you will be given practice simulations which you will also find on the Microsoft exams. Simulation questions present you with a problem to solve and your answer will include a multiple-step simulation which is recorded. You are scored on the successful completion of all steps to solving the problem. The more of these that you practice with your distance learning class, the easier it will be for you to answer these problems correctly.
Distance learning classes will also provide you with the ability to contact an instructor when questions arise. You may be assigned to a mentor that will gauge your progress and answer any questions you have as you study for your MCSA. Since some of the topics covered in the MCSA and MCSE certification exams may be difficult, you can contact your mentor, usually via email, to ask for clarification on difficult concepts. For example, subnetting and supernetting are fairly common topics that are tested on the exams, but they may be difficult to grasp in distance learning. If any of the problems stump you, you can always contact your mentor and ask for clarification.
One other aspect of distance learning is access to additional study guides and materials you won't be able to find anywhere else. Most distance learning training centers offer you access to an entire library of reference materials that you can use freely during your study. These can prove to be a valuable resource if you have the time to read them all. For example, when studying for your MCSA or MCSE you may have access to literally thousands of pages of reference books. That is a lot of reading!
